Bonnie Exner

8th Grade Civics

Mrs. Bonnie Exner, a 28 year teacher, is Ransom Middle School's Teacher of the Year for 2001-2002.  She was nominated and elected by her fellow teachers at Ransom and is proud to be RMS's candidate for the Escambia County Teacher of The Year!

Mrs. Exner is certified to teach Language Arts grades 6-12, and History grades 7-12 in the State of Florida.  She has taught 14 years of Language Arts and is now into her 14th year as a Social Studies teacher.  Mrs. Exner transferred to RMS in 1994 from Workman middle school.  She says that she really enjoys working with the students at Ransom and the faculty is one of the best in the county.

Mrs. Exner's philosophy of education is simple- her role is to provide a positive learning environment in which her students can advance their learning at their own individual pace.  Open discussions, debates, and free exchange of ideas are always welcome in her Civics classes because Mrs. Exner understands that students learn so much from their peers' open exchange of ideas.

Respecting individual differences is the standard and norm in Mrs. Exner's Civics classes.  She is proud of the fact that many of her students come back to visit her and thank her for what she has taught them.
