You must act like ladies and gentlemen at all times. In public places, people will observe your behavior and form opinions about Ransom, Pensacola, and our band program. 1. Be neat in appearance at all times. The school dress code still applies on the trip.
2. Treat people with courtesy and respect at all times. This includes chaperones, drivers, waiters, guides, etc. Be sure to say thank you!
3. You must make up all missed school work.
4. You must let the director know beforehand if someone will be visiting you during the trip. This is very important. You must stay with our group at all times, unless prior arrangements have been made.
5. You must follow all instructions given by your directors and chaperones. Remember, these people are on the trip to ensure you have a good trip and stay safe.
6. If you feel a chaperone is being unfair, you must first follow their instructions and then inform a director. The director will then discuss the problem with you.
7. Remember that the parent chaperones are an extension of Mrs. Walker & Mrs. Maness.
8. You must observe curfews. Mrs. Walker will be notified of this infraction and a consequence will follow. Curfew means go to bed and get quiet!
9. At no time are boys to be in girls’ rooms and vice versa. The halls will be monitored at night by a security officer and chaperones.
10. Remember that there are other guests in the hotel. Do not slam doors and keep the loud talking to a minimum.
11. You must understand that inappropriate behaviors are considered severe infractions of the rules and will result in immediate communication with your parents. You will also be confined to the chaperones “care” for the remainder of the trip. Also, further action will be taken by the school administrators upon our return home. These behaviors include: A. Possession of or usage of any tobacco product B. Possession of or usage of alcohol C. Possession of or usage of any illegal drug
12. You must understand the consequences of shoplifting. Shoplifting could result in your arrest.
13. You must understand that the infraction of any of the above rules will result in “benching” at certain activities. Benching is time spent with chaperones or directors.
BUS RULES
1. Follow all instructions given by the driver and chaperones. The chaperones need your cooperation and silence when taking roll, head counts, or giving instructions. Disrespect to chaperones will not be tolerated!
2. Keep the talking to a minimum. Loud talking will distract the driver.
3. Avoid unnecessary movement down the aisles.
4. Do not sit on the arm rests.
5. No public affection is to be displayed at any time.
6. You must use earphones for CD players, etc.
7. Keep the bus neat and orderly. No glass containers on the bus or anything without a lid. Remember, the bus will be your home for 4 days.
8. During meal stops stay seated until directions have been given. You must stay with your group at meal stops and rest stops.
HOTEL RULES
1. Remember there will be other guests in the hotel. There should be no horseplay in the halls or screaming.
2. You are responsible for any charges to your room. Make sure you understand how to use your calling card or how to call collect. If you have questions, ask your chaperone. You do not want a $50 phone bill at the end of your trip.
3. Stay off hotel balconies.
4. Boys are not allowed in girls’ rooms or vice versa at any time!
5. While in the room, observe the following: A. Lock your door at all times. B. If someone is at the door, look and ask who it is BEFORE opening the door. C. Conversations and laughter should be kept to a minimum. D. No deliveries are permitted to your room. E. Be aware of emergency information. F. Keep your chaperone’s number by the phone.
6. If you damage any hotel property, your entire room is responsible for payment.
7. Keep valuables in your suitcase.
AMUSEMENT PARK/WATER PARK RULES
1. Follow all rules of the above parks.
2. You must stay in groups of 4 or more. Do not roam around the parks alone!
3. You must know where the parent station is located. You will be given on this information before leaving your bus.
4. Make sure you are on-time for your check in times. Students who are late will be given bench time. Also, during check in, you will receive your meal money.
5. Do not leave the park for any reason.
6. Medication will be available from the parent station.
