The Band Parent Organization (BPO) is very valuable to the band directors. The Ransom Band has many functions throughout the year. In order for the band’s yearly activities to run smoothly, parent help is needed & appreciated throughout the year.  The BPO is a great way to show your support of your child’s involvement in the band program.        

Volunteer Committees - Each committee needs a team & leaders.

Uniforms                      help students with uniforms at band events & performances

                                    prepare uniforms for dry-cleaning, keep organized in the uniform closet

                                    need parents who can help with hems & repair

Loading Crew                need help loading/un-loading at the school & performance site

Jazz Barbeque             need someone to oversee the brunch & organize the committees of                                             decorations, catering, silent auction & door prizes

Cookie Dough                help with delivery day & collecting forms & money

Chick Fil A Calendars    help with distribution of calendars

Concert Monitor            sit with the band students during the concerts

Newsletter                   help collating, folding, stapling, labeling                      

Concert Program           help collecting ads or designing the program for concerts        

Chaperone                     help at band functions or performances

Teacher Breakfast         prepare food for the breakfast (December)

Medical                         need medical people on the band trip
