Students are required to attend all before and after school rehearsals. The Symphonic & Concert Bands have extra rehearsals. The rehearsals are generally few in number. However, it is imperative that all members of the group attend in order to achieve a quality rehearsal. Parents will be made aware of any extra rehearsals in plenty of time for you to arrange transportation from rehearsals.
Class & Instrument Materials
All students are required to bring the following to class on a daily basis:
1. Band Book(s)
2. Music Folder
3. PENCIL/Highlighter
4. Focus Folder (Tues./Thurs.) Research Folder (Symphonic Only – Mon./Wed.)
5. Planner or Assignment Pad
Flute: Tuning rod and cleaning cloth
Oboe/Bassoon: Reed, reed case, cork grease, seat strap
Clarinet/Saxophone: 4 reeds, reed guard, cork grease, cleaning swab; Saxophones must have a neck strap.
Trumpet: Valve oil, slide grease, mouthpiece brush, cleaning snake
French Horn: Rotary oil, slide grease, mouthpiece brush, cleaning snake
Trombone: Slide oil, slide grease, mouthpiece brush, cleaning snake
Percussion: Snare & stand, sticks, bells and stand, bell mallets, timpani mallets, practice pad, stick bag
ALL STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE A SMALL CLEANING CLOTH IN THEIR CASE.
ALL BAND STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE WIRE STAND.
MOST SUPPLIES CAN BE ORDERED OR PURCHASED IN THE BAND ROOM.
