Fund Raisers

Why does the band fund raise?

Several fund raisers are conducted during the school year to support

band trips & equipment needs.  However, many supporters are surprised

to learn that more than 50% of the entire budget is consumed by

uniform, instrument maintenance, music, bus costs, festival fees, and u-

haul rentals.  Some fund raising provides merchandise and benefits to

contributors while other funds raised are direct contributions such as

uniform usage and band contributions by parents/guardians.  Without

these direct contributions many functions would be eliminated. 

In addition to contributions we will also ask for parents/guardians to

volunteer their time to coordinate the fund raising event or assist in

collection, distribution and accounting of funds.

The 5^th ANNUAL RANSOM JAZZ BRUNCH has a new name!!!

THE 5^TH ANNUAL RANSOM JAZZ BARBEQUE

It is hard to believe our brunch is in its 5^th year. The brunch is a fun

event for the band students, parents & all who attend. The silent

auction has raised about $4000 for the band program over the past 4 years. 

The 2008 Jazz Brunch will be a BARBEQUE! The food will be great. The

Jazz Band will provide the outstanding entertainment. The date will also

be a Friday night instead of the usual Sunday afternoon time. The

brunch is scheduled for MARCH 14, 2008.

This brunch should prove to be the best yet!

COOKIE DOUGH SALES

Sale start September 18 & runs for 2 weeks.

Delivery day will be in mid- October.

On the average, the band earns $14,000 in profit.

CHICK FIL A & DOMINO PIZZA CARD SALE

This fund raiser is new for 2007. The CFA Cards are $5.

The Domino Pizaa Cards are $10.

Cards will go on sale in November 1st. Students earn 50% profit.

CHICK FIL A SPIRIT NIGHT ~ NOVEMBER 1ST

This is a night for band students to work at CFA & earn

money for the band

program.

The Jazz Band will perform outside of the restaurant.

Spirit Night Cards will be sent home the week of the event. The more people

who attend CFA & present a card, the more money the band earns.

Calendars are $5. Calendars include over $25 in coupons.

Students receive 50% profit.

Calendars are on sale from November – December.
