This is me in a river called French Creek in Colorado. Man, was is C-O-L-D! I was wearing rubber waders and my legs still just about froze off. I was worried because I was wondering how I would get around if my legs froze off! The water was extremely cold because the source of the river is the melting snow in the mountains. We did some surveys of this river at this site, upstream of this site and downstream, too. Physical survey: life, temperature, speed, depth, width, etc. Chemical survey: various pollutants In this picture I was measuring out 50 feet of the river to make our boundaries.
