We went out West the summer of 2001. This is me in the Saguaro National Forest in Arizona. My family and I hiked part of it. The forest of cacti is HUGE!! There are miles and miles of those giant prickly things, and even more of the smaller prickly kinds of cacti. Some of the Saguaro cacti are as tall as a telephone pole and as big around as a big refrigerator. I brought back a piece of cactus imbedded in my thumb. It's against the law to take cactus from there, but it was either take the piece of cactus from the National Forest or cut off my thumb and leave it there. What would you do?
