Ms. Kristi Waldrop: Math

Year started teaching: 2001-2002

Year started at Ransom: 2001-2002

Educational background: B.A. Sociology from U.W.F.
Working on certification in middle grades math.

Hobbies or interests: reading in spare time, movies

I went to Ransom for middle school. My dad teaches 7th grade math at Ransom, though this year is his last year. I really enjoyed my first year of teaching and really enjoy being here at Ransom.

 

Mr. Josey

8th Grade Science

I started my career in teaching in 1972 and my first teaching assignment was at Ransom!

I received my teaching degrees from Okaloosa-Walton Junior College and University of West Florida.

I had help in the decision to become a teacher.  My wife and mother said , I would be good at teaching.  They were wrong....I am GREAT!

I have many interests but my top three all deal with the outdoors.  Hunting, Fishing, and camping are my favorite things.

Mrs. Exner

8th Grade Civics

I started teaching in Escambia County in 1971.  I moved to Ransom in 1994.  I received a BS in Education from the University of Missouri in St. Louis.  I received my Master in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of West Florida Campus.

I have been honored several times in the past.

1983 English Teacher of Escambia County
1984 Finalist for Teacher of the Year in Escambia County.
1999 Social Studies Teacher of the Year for Middle School.
2002 Finalist Teacher of the Year in Escambia County.

I chose to teach because I want to make a positive difference in young peoples lives!

I enjoy reading, gardening, political activities, and camping.

Mr. Terriault, Mr. Brown, Mrs. Rutledge, and Mrs. Kendrick

 

Mrs. Kendrick

Eighth Grade English

Mrs. Kendrick started her Teaching career in 1999 and started teaching at Ransom in 2000.  She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi......GO EAGLES!  

When asked why she chose to teach as her profession, she replied:

I care about Teenagers.  I remember what being a teenager was like.  It can be a difficult time, and having caring teachers help.

She is married to an AIR Force man and they have one son, a future football player!
